The power search module provides a means of filtering events so that a tailored list can be generated to the user.
Note the URLs generated by the power search module can be used directly once the search module is configured. ie. you can hide the search module and use the URLs it generates to give a list by location, category, supercategory etc directly from a hyperlink or a menu item.
The power search module requires a supercategory module to be configured as it uses the supercategory list as a pre-filter for the category list.
There are 5 search fields in the power search module as follows:
- Training/Subject Area - List from the linked supercategory module
- Category - when area changes, filters the categories contained in the supercategory
- Locations - Filter by location
- Current calendar month
- Forward calendar month, designated by the "MonthsForward" parameter in the resx file
Note; In the file Desktopmodules/ThirdI.EventBooking.Search/Localresources/Search.resx, default text can be modified for selectors
The results list will be actual scheduled events. The search results display list is configured in the power search module, similar to the supercategory.
The options are for header, each event item and footer, as well as an empty results option.
